Edinburgh
With streets steeped in history and a thriving cultural scene, the City of Edinburgh offers the perfect balance between all things traditional and contemporary.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site at the heart of the city combines the medieval Old Town, the Georgian New Town and award winning modern architecture.
Whether within or outside of the big festival season and the infamous Hogmanay celebrations,
there is something for everybody in Scotland’s capital city. From the minute you
land to the moment you leave, Edinburgh is a city that just keeps giving.
Zell am See Austria
Nestling beside the picturesque Zeller Lake at the foot of the Schmittenhohe mountain (2000m), Zell am See has been a favourite with holidaymakers for centuries. Whether skiing in winter, or hiking or biking in summer, Zell am See offers the best of all facilities, with access to world-class skiing (including year-round glacier), championship golf courses, sailing, fishing, boating, windsurfing, hiking trails, paragliding, light aircraft trips and a host of organised events and activities throughout the year. This is truly a five star location.
Borovets Bulgaria
Situated at 1390m on the Rila Mountains, Borovets is the largest ski resort in Eastern Europe and also the oldest, founded in 1896 as a hunting ground for kings. Today, travellers come to Borovets for its excellent ski school, good snow record and lively nightlife.
Along with other Eastern European resorts, Borovets offers an alternative, cheaper ski holiday than those found in the traditional resorts of France, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. Hotels, flights, ski hire, lift passes and the cost of living are all cheaper here, making it a perfect resort for skiers on a budget. Borovets has access to three different ski areas, with the highest pistes at an impressive 2600m. The area is perfect for beginners and intermediates; with excellent ski-schools it is known for being child-friendly.
